Are you considering a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean)?

You're not alone. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data from 2019 (released May 20, 2020) show that 31.7% of all US births were by cesarean, and 86.2% of those with a history of a previous cesarean birth have a repeat C-section.

The encouraging news is that also according to the CDC, the VBAC rate is rising and  has increased in recent years from 12.4% to 13.35!

At Born This Way Doula Services, our certified VBAC specialists understand that your previous cesarean is an important part of your story and is in no way less valid than any other birth.

But you may want to explore a different path for this birth, and we believe that every person has to right to weigh all of the available options and make the right decision for them, their baby and their family.

How we make a difference

We know that a large factor in achieving a successful VBAC is preparation and research – a lot of it. Our doulas have the knowledge, skills and resources to help you feel confident and prepared.
